Handbound Journal with Coptic/Chain Stitch Bookbinding with Anneka Baird (Stop 2)

Workshop attendees will create their own handbound journal using the oldest known codex book form, the Coptic (also known as Chainstitch) binding. Appearing first in Ethiopia about 1600 years ago, to this day the Coptic binding continues to be a form well-loved for both its aesthetic and functional properties. Journal covers will be made using Anneka's handmade paper sourced from local, wild-harvested fiber plants. $35 plus $25 materials.

Come learn foundational macrame knots, like the lark's head, square, and gathering knots, that will set your macrame journey into motion. Create, knot and take home your very own macrame produce hanger or rainbow ornament as a creative souvenir from The Winding Roads Art Tour. This beginner-friendly macrame class will provide all supplies needed to complete your project. Best for ages 7 and above. $25 per person or $40 for two.
