Avalanche Looms is my hand weaving studio on the West Fork of the Kickapoo river, in Avalanche, WI. My studio was built in 2000. Since then I have designed and woven textiles on floor looms, including a 19th century hand built Norwegian barn loom. My Scandinavian heritage, Swedish and Finnish, strongly influences what I weave. I pay attention to color, texture and design in every weave. I stock my workshop with recent weaving, scarves, wall hangings, Japanese market sacks, and hand towels.
