Christine has a B.A. in Art from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Mn. and studied abroad at the Marchutz School of Drawing and Painting in Aix-en-Provence, France. She learned to paint with oils and watercolors, working from still life, model, and landscape immersed in the light, color and beauty of Provence. She also studied art history, visiting many Paris museums viewing works of art.
Christine has lived in rural Gays Mills for many years and continues to be inspired to paint from the world around her. She finds the beauty of nature and painting directly from life evocative, hoping to capture the play of color and light by rendering what she sees.
