It all begins with an idea; In 2016, I decided I needed to be creative again. I started playing around with making simple jewelry and fell in love with the process. My business grew and my focus changed, and I discovered the amazing possibilities of silver and other metals. I brought my passion for plants and nature into my jewelry, and Alena May Jewelry was born. Each unique piece is inspired by the wildness and creativity of nature. I create bold jewelry using sterling silver paired with handsome stones with unusual matrices. Each piece is hand-fabricated starting with silver sheet and wire, and then I saw, solder, file, form, texture, oxidize and polish each piece. I accent pieces with brass, copper, leather and natural objects.
