Hello! My name is Christine. I am a jeweler, a painter and maker of things that inspire and uplift me. Welcome.
I make well-made artisan jewelry that celebrates all things simple, natural, and organic. I forge and solder my metals and make my own components. No two pieces are exactly alike, and I like it that way. My favorite materials these days are copper, brass, silver, natural stones, gemstones, shells, art beads, wood, glass, lamp work glass and found objects.
Based in Viroqua, Wisconsin, and former graduate of UW Madison in Art, my painting inspiration comes from my life, my dreams and Mother Nature. My paintings often begin as a dominant ‘mood color’ and progress from there. Subjects appear, more colors arrive and an otherworldly energy is portrayed that is often felt but not seen. I often blend working from life with working from within.
The seeds of my art love affair started back when I used to macramé friendship bracelets with my hippy babysitter in Richfield, Minnesota. I was a 'free range child' allowed to explore the neighborhood and Woodlake Nature Center all day long. My art progressed to clay, watercolor painting, oil painting, Plein air events.
I have a lot to share and I love to meet kindred spirits, please message me if you connect with my offerings. Enjoy!
