I am a leatherworker & I live in Viroqua, Wisconsin. I found leatherwork after living abroad & learned the tradition in the old way. I find meaning & value in creating pieces of strength, timelessness, & durability- an island in an ocean of fast & cheap fashion.
I work from whole cow hides & use every square inch in creating lifetime wardrobe pieces, textured wall weavings & one of a kind accessories that honor the unique shape, texture & life of each animal's skin. With every piece, my aim is to employ transformation as an act of veneration.
